Job title: Nursery Manager
Phone: 805.528.1800
Email: ecogarden@sagelandscapes.net
Description: I provide customer service to nursery customers and contractors who seek high level customer care for all aspects of Horticulture, Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting and Rain Water Harvesting.
Work experience: My career since college has lead me to many wonderful professional experiences on the east coast and here in California. As a project manager in Washington D.C. I worked on many over-structure landscape projects, roof-top gardens with complex logistics. Another professional experience I had in Maryland was custom pool construction. Here on the Central Coast of CA I worked briefly for a couple of different contractors before landing at Sage. As the first construction manager here I enjoyed overseeing the creation of many beautiful custom landscapes and habitat restoration across the central coast. Now in my role as Nursery Manager I am delighted to revisit my first passion: horticulture. I love finding awesome plants to share with our customers. Please visit our unique and perpetually evolving display garden to see what is new in garden design today.
Education: Graduated 2001 University of Maryland, College Park
B.S. Horticulture
What I enjoy most about this nursery: Sage Eco-Garden & Nursery is the premier destination nursery on the Central Coast. We stake our reputation on providing quality plants that will thrive in our arid western climate. We celebrate the nuance of our Central Coast micro-climates. We offer “sage” wisdom to all visitors here in the Eco-Garden to enhance their gardening success. Plus, we have the most unusual succulent plant selection around.
Personal hobbies and interest: Spending time with family is my first priority outside of work. We enjoy Beach-combing, Camping, Canoeing & Slow cooked BBQ.

Historical Nursery Site |
This site maintains rich historical and horticultural significance as the oldest existing independent retail nursery on this part of the Central Coast. The nursery’s new emphasis is to showcase useful and responsible California-friendly plants that are water-conserving and perform well in the garden with minimal maintenance.
At Sage Eco-Gardens & Nursery, we take great pride in our nursery’s local heritage. In addition to our new water-conserving display gardens, we will continue to offer nostalgic garden gems revered by long-time local customers: delicate and elegant Tuberous Begonias, colorful Camellias, alluring Hydrangeas and eclectic non-invasive Bamboo varieties.
Thank you for your continued and generous support of this unique historical nursery.
